AUB has set up a cross-functional Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team which together will help accelerate our commitment to creating an inclusive place to study, practise, and work; embracing innovative practices to drive equality and embrace diversity to add value to the University, throughout the student and employee journey.
In joining this cross functional team you will support, develop and implement a contemporary and future focused EDI approach to support the University’s mission, aims and objectives with regards to equality, diversity and inclusion. This will include a clear institutional identity and culture for EDI within AUB, promoting equality as a key theme and leading on the delivery of supporting activities, via employee engagement methods, developing and maintaining the knowledge and confidence of all staff in EDI.
The EDI Academic Enhancement Advisor / Senior Lecturer will coordinate the delivery of enhancing the curriculum and academic practice of colleagues with specific reference to EDI, to ensure an enhanced student experience and close linkages to the University’s values. The postholder will also address educational inequalities aligned to AUB’s Access and Participation Plan, through the promotion of an inclusive pedagogy and curriculum developments and CPD to colleagues and support to staff across the University.
The HR EDI & Wellbeing Partner will work with the HR team, the EDI team and colleagues across the University to embed an EDI approach within AUB’s People Plan and HR Policies, ensuring that the EDI agenda is inherently considered and applied in our working practices.
The Senior Officer (EDI) will respond to the complex and comprehensive legislative framework surrounding equalities, ensuring that the University meets both its legal and moral obligations to all stakeholders and support the University in meeting its stated equality targets.
In creating our new EDI team we are making three distinct appointments to three different teams, with different line managers, who also come together to form this multi-functional, cross-institution expert team which can share information, develop coherent and mutually supportive actions, and advise on EDI matters across the full spectrum of AUB activity. It is a great time to join our world class arts university and be part of this exciting new team. Together, you will have the opportunity to drive our equality diversity and inclusion agenda, eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and support the development of good relations throughout our innovative, collaborative and creative spaces.
