We're the largest international branch campus and global hub in Asia of Curtin University, and one of Malaysia’s leading internationally-minded tertiary institutions. With some 1,000 acres, we are also the largest Australian international campus in the world.
Besides providing an affordable, quality Australian education and a global learning experience in a unique Malaysian setting, the courses we offer are identical to those offered by our Australian parent and all degrees earned at Curtin Malaysia are conferred by the main campus.
Located in Miri in the state of Sarawak, we have over 4,000 students from over 50 countries. Highly-qualified academic staff from some 20 countries further strengthen our international outlook.
We hold Tier 5 ("Excellent") ratings from the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education for overall quality and our engineering programmes. We are also one of only eight tertiary institutions in Malaysia granted self-accreditation status by the Ministry. Furthermore, Curtin University's standing in the global university rankings, including the QS World University Rankings by Subject, and course accreditation by national and international professional bodies add to the strength of the programmes we offer.
