Human Resources Department

Queen Mary University of London (Queen Mary) is one of the UK’s foremost research-intensive higher education institutions and is ranked fifth for world-leading and internationally excellent research (REF 2014). We have a distinctive and diverse student profile, world leading research across the full spectrum of disciplines, and an international reputation for the quality of our public and community engagement activities.

Following a period of service review, transformation and investment in the Human Resources function at Queen Mary, a new HR structure is to be implemented in September 2018. The new HR structure introduces two new umbrella areas through which our key HR services will be delivered- Organisational Effectiveness and Employment Service & Information. These two work strands will support and complement the strategic HR partnering activities to be embedded with academic faculties and professional services departments across Queen Mary as part of the new HR model.

Following our internal recruitment processes, we are now seeking talented individuals for a number of new and exciting roles available in our new HR structure, ranging from HR Assistants to two new Assistant HR Director posts. This is an exciting time to join the HR department at Queen Mary where you can help us deliver effectively on our ambitious People and OD Strategy.

The roles available are a mix of permanent and fixed term opportunities, across a range of HR specialisms, with benefits including 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan. Details of each of the roles and how to apply can be found via the links at the bottom of the page.

If you have demonstrable professional excellence in your chosen specialism, ideally with familiarity of the culture, context and generic challenges of the higher education sector, and most importantly - are passionate about HR customer service excellence, with first-rate interpersonal & communication skills and ability to build professional relationships in a diverse, flexible and fast paced environment- then we would love to hear from you.
