Lab4Living is a trans-disciplinary research group based on a collaborative community of researchers in design, healthcare and creative practice. Lab4Living is a constituent part of the Art and Design Research Centre and is a significant contributor to the Centre’s standing, nationally and internationally. Recently the Lab gained a major research award (£8m) funded by Research England through the E3 programme to investigate the 100-year life.
The ‘100-year life’ project will exploit and advance the role of art and design research in enabling older people to lead longer, more productive lives - the longevity effect and more broadly the implications for society as a whole.
The E3 award has enabled a major recruitment opportunity which includes a Professor, two Readers, a Project Manager, five Research Assistants, 12 PhD students and an administrator. For more information on our current jobs please see below.
