Gloucestershire Media School
The Gloucestershire Media School is looking for talented, creative lecturers and technicians to join our growing team.
This is your opportunity to join a successful, creative community of broadcasters, filmmakers, animators, musicians, journalists and media developers, working with 900 students in enviable, professional quality studios and production spaces.
The school is managed in three subject groups: Film and Television, Music and Media and Journalism. Each has a distinct identity but the staff and students come together to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams, working for external clients on live briefs and on research projects. The school is seen by its members as a creative agency in which we all have a stake and where people from diverse backgrounds and subject specialisms come together create exciting new work.
Industry links and a focus on employment and employability, including freelance working, are central to the school’s ethos, and our courses are accredited by the NCTJ, BJTC and Creative Skillset. We work closely with the creative industries, with regional, national and global employers and offer an exciting co-curriculum, in particular our HEA award-winning annual Media Festival, a week-long offering of master-classes, guest lectures and networking opportunities for students and staff.
The school has seen substantial investment in our spaces and facilities over the last four years and this summer will see a further expansion of facilities for music, film and audio and an exciting new open learning space. Now we are recruiting new lecturers in Journalism, Music, Film and Television and technicians to support music technology and film and television courses, to start in the new autumn term.
