Junior Business Analyst

University of Reading - Information Technology

The Junior Business Analyst will work within the Business Change Team in IT. Contributing to change projects this role will collaborate with staff across the University, gathering the requirements for business needs and developing documentation for translating the needs into successful business, technology and process outcomes.

You will need:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to handle technical/business questions and provide articulate responses.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • An attention to detail in the production of high quality and consistent documentation.
  • The ability to listen and establish good working relationships at all levels as individuals or in groups.
  • Some understanding of IT architectures, integration and design, including an understanding of IT operations.

Internal mentoring will be provided but the candidate must be willing to train as a Business Analyst if required.
