Senior Research Associate (0.8 FTE)

Applications are invited for a Senior Research Associate to join our research team in the School of Pharmacy at the University of East Anglia to work on an EU INTERREG funded project “Innovative Multi Component Drug Design”. The project consortium involves collaborative partners across the UK and from the EU. The appointment offers an exciting opportunity to interact with a multi-disciplinary network of academic and industrial partners working in the field of pharmaceutical research and product development.

You must be self-motivated and capable of carrying out a complex collaborative research programme. You will develop novel controlled release formulations for multiple drug-containing pharmaceutical products. You will also be involved in the development of new formulation screening technology which will enable rationalised formulation development.

Candidates should have, or be close to completion of a PhD (or equivalent qualification or experience) in the pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical or chemical engineering and have a keen interest in processing and analytical technology development. You will also be expected to meet all the essential criteria in the person specification.

This part time (80% FTE), fixed term post will be available for 13 months or until a fixed term end date of 30 September 2019.
