Permanent Whole Time Post

UCC wishes to make an appointment to the permanent role of Lecturer in French. Reporting to the Head of Department, the successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in French Studies or relevant field, and native or near-native competence in French. We are looking for academic expertise and evidence of research and teaching in Translation Studies (which may include specialist knowledge in one or more of the following areas: contemporary translation theory; the application of corpora to translation theory and practice; cultural translation; literary translation; audio-visual translation; interpreting; information and communication technologies and translation). The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to our BA in World Languages and MA programme in Translation Studies, among others.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer Below the Bar Salary Scale: €33,149 - €58,547
