Lecturer in Art

We need a Lecturer to join Reading School of Art. The post-holder will contribute to research, learning and teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the School of Art.
Reading School of Art has a longstanding, subject-leading reputation for high quality teaching and research. The successful candidate will join a busy and vibrant academic community engaged in numerous areas of fine art practice, theory, and curation at all levels of study.

You will have:

  • A developing record of excellent and relevant practice–led research with high quality research outputs
  • The ability to teach art at UG and PGT levels, and supervise at PGR level
  • The ability to contribute to curriculum design and development in Art programmes
  • The ability to contribute to the core administrative functions of an Art department.
  • Knowledge of current developments in learning & teaching with regard to fine art and/or visual cultures education
  • Ability to communicate knowledge about contemporary art effectively and imaginatively
  • Skills of self-motivation and team-working
