About the role

We are looking for a Research Associate to work on a new Faraday Institute project recycling Lithium Batteries (ReLib). You will be responsible for personal and collaborative research, resulting in significant contributions to project deliverables, journal papers and conference presentations. As an experienced researcher, you will contribute to the direction of the research programme in line with reaching the research goals which will include research planning, project management and the organization of group research meetings.

About you

With a PhD in Chemistry or Electrochemistry you will have a good understanding of metal ion electrochemistry in non-aqueous media (preferably ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents). We are looking for a self-starter with good analytical and technical problem solving capability. Ideally you will have demonstrable success in producing publications to the highest standard and be able to foster new collaborations with national and international experts.

Additional information

Two positions available.

Full-time contract. Open ended subject to fixed term funding. Funding is available to 28 February 2021.
