Programme Lead: Sports Massage

Team Bath Training and Development, the education and training arm of the Department of Sports Development & Recreation (DSDR) at the University of Bath, are looking for a qualified practitioner-educator to join our team as the Programme Lead for our Sports Massage portfolio of education.

You will be responsible for innovative and high quality delivery and design of the Sports Massage curriculum, which will include Active courses, both intensive and part time long course delivery; you will be confident in leading students through both theory and experiential learning; you will be determined and ambitious regarding the future of the industry and our role in supporting its development; and, lastly but importantly, you will be a team player with the ability to work closely with the wider T&D team to ensure our provision of learning and development opportunities within the DSDR and University of Bath are market leading.

To meet the challenging but exciting demands of the role, you will be a passionate educator, or someone with a commitment to education and in developing as a practitioner-educator in this field.

A relevant Sports Massage qualification with evidence of continuing professional development and accreditation is essential, as is experience of high quality massage and educational delivery. The successful applicant will also demonstrate an excellent understanding of UK higher education, and ideally will have experience of Sports Massage delivery in high-performance environments, including student sport.

This is an wonderful opportunity to play a key role in developing our Sports Massage curriculum and would suit a driven, creative and accomplished Sports Massage specialist tutor with the organisational ability and desire to drive forwards education and practitioner development.

The appointment will be made subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance being obtained.
