Part-time ERDF Project Support Officer, Health Engagement and Innovation Team

You will work with the Health Engagement and Innovation Team (HEIT) in the Faculty of Health and Medicine, at Lancaster University. The HEIT enables Lancaster University to play a leadership role in major local and regional networks for enhancing evidence-based, high quality healthcare through research and innovation, and to support local economic growth and job creation in this context.

This post is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a career in higher education project support and administration. It is anticipated that you will gain experience in working with regional health-related businesses, NHS organisations and staff and departments across Lancaster University.

This role will specifically support one of the European Development Regional Funding projects (Healthcare Business Connect Lancashire). The role is integral to the success of the project, providing clerical and administrative support to the project team, liaising with researchers, academic members of staff and colleagues across Lancaster University and at partner institutions. This is a European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funded project, which requires accurate audit trails to be adhered to at all times. 

The main duties of the post will include:

  • Supporting the Business Partnerships Manager and the Senior Manager, Health Engagement and Innovation Team, in the efficient running of the project.
  • Taking responsibility for the co-ordination/administration of project documentation relating to all purchases made by the team.
  • Supporting the collection of academic and researcher and professional staff timesheets each month in support of ERDF claims.
  • Ensuring all client information is kept up to date through the completion of appropriate forms, reports, databases and other related administration.

You will have good attention to detail, strong IT, literacy and numeracy skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload in order to meet conflicting deadlines.  

This post is part-time 0.5 fte and is fixed term until end June 2019 in the first instance. This post is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
