AHRI's academic partners are University College London, and University of KwaZulu Natal, and primary funders are the Wellcome Trust and Howard Hughes Medical Institute. There are currently 17 research groups at AHRI, and their work is underpinned by excellent facilities and strong collaborations with local clinics and hospitals. Major research funders include: NIH, BMGF, the UK and SA MRCs, and the Max Planck Institute.

The appointee will:

  • Develop, maintain and nurture significant, open and productive relationships with other groups at AHRI and across the international scientific community.
  • Contribute to the overall scientific mission of AHRI.
