Medipathways College is an independent higher education provider, based in central London, specialising in the provision of medically-focused degree courses. We deliver the UK’s first 2-year BSc in Biomedical Sciences designed to prepare students for entry into graduate medical or dental schools. Our degree is validated by the University of Buckingham.

We are recruiting flexible student-focused tutors to teach Biomedical Science modules across levels 3 to 6 (foundation year to BSc), starting in September 2018.  Priority curriculum areas include: chemistry for the biosciences, microbiology, cellular pathology, general pathology, and patient-doctor/health studies.

Pay is £40,000 pro rata.  We are looking to appoint a permanent 0.5 fractional role.  Flexible consultancy roles are also available.

Person specification:


  • Teaching experience in Higher Education
  • PhD, MBBS or equivalent academic/clinical experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Good rapport with staff and students
  • Enthusiasm for student-centred learning


  • Teacher training / qualification
  • Experience in setting and marking assessments
  • Module leadership experience
  • Familiarity with VLE use
  • Medical/dental school admissions experience
  • Clinical experience or postdoctoral research experience
