Our activities cover a full spectrum of business disciplines as evidenced through our academic programmes at UG, PGT and PGR. We teach undergraduate, masters and doctoral students, deliver executive education and consultancy and create new knowledge through our research. We are passionate about Making Knowledge Work.
The University of Bradford is a technology university with great strengths. Our ambition is to build on our heritage and areas of strength, with a vision to be a world leader in:
(a) the creation of knowledge through fundamental and applied research;
(b) the dissemination of knowledge by teaching students from all backgrounds;
(c) the application of knowledge for the prosperity and well-being of people.
The School of Management has a strong reputation around People, Organisation and Entrepreneurship, recently appointing two new full professors to this Group from September 2018 (Neil Anderson and Ana Cristina Costa). Continuing this expansion, the Group is seeking to make further appointments at the level of Lecturer and Senior Lecturer with a specific background in HRM/OB. The successful candidate will be expected to take a leading administrative role, managing the efficiency and effectiveness of a taught programme at UG or PGT levels, as appropriate. The post holder will also be able to demonstrate by way of example areas of curriculum enhancement. They will be expected to have published at 4*and 3* journal level, have secured funding for their research, and will be supported to work with other senior colleagues to ensure their research potential is reached. CIPD membership, or eligibility for membership, will be a requirement together with experience of leading/teaching relevant modules across the remit of HRM/OB at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This role is aligned with the University Strategy that promotes the development of international academic partnerships, developing and expanding commercial links to support our mission, vision and values. Therefore, the ability to persuade, influence, motivate and establish credibility with a wide range of stakeholders is essential.
