An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand physiotherapy education provision within North Wales. The School of Social and Life Sciences is committed to growing high quality education and research that informs and contributes to transformational change and excellence.

We are looking to appoint an experienced physiotherapist within higher education to develop a pre-registration programme in Wrexham, North Wales. You will be working closely with the occupational therapy, nursing and social work subjects to develop the allied therapies provision within our University. You will be committed to partnership working and an enthusiasm for clinical research is particularly welcome. You will have experience of working with physiotherapy pre-registration students in higher education and clinical practice and will be able to inspire them to excel through positive role modelling and innovative teaching. 

This role will involve curriculum development, partnership working and teaching on the new physiotherapy programme. You will be expected to support further developments within the Department, both in a single and inter-disciplinary context, including expansions into the international market.

You must be HCPC Registered and prepared to be a member of the Health Education Academy (HEA) within 12 months of appointment and in addition be prepared to study towards a doctorate if you do not already hold one. You will have excellent communication skills, will be expected to work with a range of organisations to develop physiotherapy placement provision and will initiate, support and develop the delivery of our physiotherapy curriculum.
