Salary: £29,799 to £38,833 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Applications are invited for the above post, part of the Research Development Team sitting within Research and Innovation. Working in close co-operation with academic and support colleagues from across the university the successful candidate will oversee the implementation of the University of Nottingham Interdisciplinary Centre for Analytical Sciences (UNICAS). The role-holder will take a leading role in co-ordinating and managing the UNICAS project, which aims to increase research collaboration and equipment sharing across all faculties and campuses of the University.
Through a variety of sandpit-style and technique themed events and the funding of collaborative research projects, UNICAS links experts in science, engineering, medicine, arts and social science to solve research questions through enhanced research collaboration. The UNICAS project manager will be responsible for the delivery of these events, management of the funding process and monitoring of the funded research projects. The UNICAS project manager will also be responsible for the promotion of UNICAS across the University and integration with other initiatives designed to improve use of equipment within the University.
Candidates should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have experience of organising and delivering a series of successful events. In addition candidates should have experience of working on their own initiative in a proactive manner have experience of the administration of research projects.
This is part time, 29 hours per week, post and will be offered on a fixed term contract until 31st July 2019.
