The Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology is seeking to appoint an experienced Project Coordinator to provide efficient administrative, logistical and financial project support from set up to closure. The post-holder will be a member of the Newborn and Child Development team and be accountable to the Project PI and the Project Manager, and will provide support to other members of the team.

The post-holder will be responsible for organising regular large workshops, events and meetings and providing communications support involving media, as well as monitoring the progress of project logistics. 

This role will require excellent management, organisational, financial and communication skills as it will involve working with a diverse group of senior stakeholders in an international environment. The successful candidate will have previous successful experience in the administration of research project(s), and a proven ability to assess priorities and show initiative in the management of a high workload. 

The post is full-time post and based in the Keppel Street building of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. It is available on a full-time basis commencing as soon as possible, until 30 November 2019 in the first instance with possibility to extend depending on funding. The appointment will be made on the Grade 5 PSP scale with salary in the range £33,567 - £38,533 per annum inclusive. The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
