The Clinical Exercise Physiology research group is a vibrant cluster of researchers led by Dr Richard Bracken (email: firstname.lastname@example.org) as part of the Welsh Government-funded Diabetes Research Unit, Cymru, (http://www.diabeteswales.org.uk/en/ ). The group aims to investigate the impact of exercise and physical activity in patients with diabetes to increase quality of life.
The successful applicant will have completed a MSc by research or PhD (or near completion) in a related field and be a highly motivated individual that can work both independently or in a team in the pursuit of successful clinical research outcomes. It is an essential prerequisite of this post to have an exceptional level of attention to detail in preparing reports and other materials for progress meetings and presentation of study findings. The post-holder will be highly capable of working to tight deadlines, and an effective communicator with a range of stakeholders.
The purpose of this post is to proactively engage in the successful completion of clinical studies involving exercise in patients with type 1 diabetes.
