A postgraduate research studentship to commence in October in collaboration with St Helen’s RFC is available in the Department of Sports & Exercise Sciences providing the opportunity to undertake research leading to the award of MPhil on the following theme: 

An examination of the training demands of elite rugby league players 

The successful applicant will receive a bursary, to cover fees (up to 2 years full time) and a stipend of £12,000  per annum for up to 2 years full time.

Applicants should have a minimum of a 2.1 undergraduate degree in Sports Science or closely related discipline and preferably a Master’s degree in Sports Science.
