We are looking for an enthusiastic data manager to work on an exciting 20 year longitudinal cohort study of pet cats, run by the companion animal behaviour research group, within University of Bristol Vet School.
You will support the Bristol Cats team in managing a large database for research into the health and behaviour of owned pet cats. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the database, including ensuring good quality data collection and data entry, maintaining a resource which is used to carry out research and produce reports, conference presentations and publications. You will also be expected to develop protocols and standard operating procedures as well as assisting the project lead in managing the research and outcome data. We are looking to appoint someone with a keenness to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency through the application of process improvements.
The office base for the post will be with the animal behaviour and welfare research group, within Bristol Vet School, based at the Langford campus, but liaison will be required with researchers and clinicians across faculties as well as those based at external institutions such as Waltham Petcare and Cats Protection.
