The University of South Wales' Sustainable Environment Research Centre (SERC) is seeking an experienced Research Fellow in Low Carbon Bioprocess Engineering as part of the ERDF funded project, Reduced Industrial Carbon Emissions (RICE). The fellow will provide significant expertise and efforts in relation to the design, construction, implementation and operation of a number of anaerobic and aerobic bioprocesses at pilot scale. The bioprocesses to be implemented at pilot scale include anaerobic fermentation of biomass for the production of hydrogen and volatile fatty acids, gas to liquid anaerobic bioconversions and/or aerobic bioprocesses such as biodesulfurisation and SCP and PHA production. The applicant will have a PhD and experience as a research fellow or equivalent industrial experience that aligns with the design, construction and operation of microbial bioreactors.
This position is based at the Hydrogen Centre Baglan Campus of the University of South Wales.
