We are appointing a Career Development Centre Officer to join our Operations Team within the Career Development Centre. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a pivotal operation role to ensure the Career Development Centre runs smoothly and efficiently.

Your key responsibilities are to schedule, organise and ensure the smooth running of the events held by the Career Development Centre throughout the year. These take place on Wednesdays during term-time, with some events scheduled on weekends or at other times. You are also responsible for leading on the department’s social media activity under the direction of the Operations Manager.

Other duties may include arranging mock interviews with Industry Advisors, working on class profile books, assisting the Operations Manager with Finance, booking travel and accommodation for guests and colleagues, managing relevant intranet content, and providing across the department as required.

To be considered at shortlisting you will have excellent communication skills and a strong client focus with the ability to confidently deal with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally. Experience of running events and a commitment to customer service is essential. You must also be able to remain calm under pressure and ensure conflicting demands are met on time and to a high standard. You will possess a good understanding of Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly learn new systems. Demonstrable experience of contributing to a collaborative team environment will be required as well as experience of updating web-based content.
