The School of Medicine and College of Biomedical and Life Sciences are looking to appoint a Research Associate (Trial Manager). The positions will be in the group of Professors Andrew Godkin and Awen Gallimore (Division of Infection and Immunity) and with Professor Richard Adams (Centre for Trials Research).
The post is funded by a combined grant from the Anti-cancer Fund and Cancer Research Wales grant and will work on a project entitled: “Brief Intervention with Cyclophosphamide in patients with Colorectal Cancer (CRC) who have completed treatment (BICCC)”. This project is a clinical trial to give patients with stage II, III of IVA colorectal cancer a short coursed of cyclophosphamide to augment anti-tumour immune responses. The role will include acting as a trial manager with CTR (50%) and coordinating the laboratory experimental aspect of the study working with a technician and post-doctorate research associate (50%).
The successful candidate will join groups that use novel immunological approaches to treat patients with cancer and will join our established bench to bedside research pipeline.
Candidates must have experience/an understanding in the following: molecular biology, cellular immunology, flow cytometry, trial management.
