Applications are invited for the role of Programmes Administrator to work in a busy student-centred environment within the School of Business and Management performing a selection of tasks associated with the delivery of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

To succeed in this role you will be expected to:

  • Deliver programme and module administration alongside process improvements.
  • Manage and coordinate the student administration systems and processes to enhance the student-academic cycle of activities.
  • Coordinate tasks in the areas of teaching timetables, seminar allocations, student attendance, and student support, serving as a champion for students’ academic needs and interests.
  • Work as an effective team player.

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with significant experience of programme administration in Higher Education. Experience of both creative problem solving and communicating collaboratively with stakeholders are also essential. You will have strong IT skills with experience of using large student databases, preferably SITS, and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

The post is full time and requires flexibility of working hours during peak times of delivering the academic cycle, with time off in lieu in recognition. Starting salary will be in the range £32,956 - £38,709 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Please note that it will not be possible for QMUL to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for successful candidates as this role does not fall into one of the standard occupational codes deemed eligible for sponsorship by UK Visas and Immigration. Successful candidates will therefore need to be eligible to work in the UK or have limited leave to remain in the UK and associated right to work for the duration of their employment with QMUL, in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
