Applications are invited for an Administrative Assistant to support the work of our Student Recruitment and Admissions team at the University of Edinburgh. Providing dedicated support to the Widening Participation (WP) team, in particular supporting with events organisation and administration, as well as undertaking a range of administrative tasks to assist the wider work of this busy team, this post offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic administrator to develop a wide range of skills within a dynamic working environment.
Reporting to the Widening Participation Events Officer the post-holder will provide administrative support to enable the Widening Participation team to deliver an increasing volume of operational activity in line with the University’s strategic aims regarding widening participation. This post will also support the organisation of on- and off-campus events and effective communication with partners and participants.
The post requires administrative or secretarial experience in a busy environment, ideally in higher education and in relation to projects across multiple areas. The post holder should have experience and skills in a range of IT applications, including Microsoft Office, and be capable of using databases and the internet.
This is a full-time fixed term appointment until the end of May 2019, with scope for extension.
