A highly organised, positive Assistant with a can-do attitude is required for the University’s new President and Vice-Chancellor. The Assistant plays a key role in supporting the President in all aspects of his role in leading the University. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to make a significant contribution to the smooth-running of the office. Candidates must work well with a wide range of people and have a thoughtful and kind approach.
Key responsibilities include diary management, and providing a wide range of administrative support services, including organising and attending weekly Executive meetings chaired by the President, drafting agendas, collating and distributing papers, and minute taking. Excellent written and numerical skills are required. The ability to successfully manage a varied workload and to prioritise work are essential. A genuine interest in working in a higher education organisation would be an advantage.
An undergraduate degree or equivalent working experience is required.
