The role of the Senior Technical Officer is to provide technical, administrative, managerial, and training support to the laboratories used in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including the research programmes of the UCD School of Medicine. S/he will provide technical support to the undergraduate and research laboratories in the School of Medicine, and those in the adjacent Charles Institute, and will have particular responsibility for supporting the teaching of undergraduate students within the degree programmes supported by the School. These programmes include Medicine (direct undergraduate and graduate entry), Physiology, Biomedical Health and Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering and Radiography. The position is within the Biomedical Sciences Section of the UCD School of Medicine reporting to the Head of the School or Head, Biomedical Section (and/or his/her nominee).
Salary Scale: €44,969 - €60,127 per annum.
Appointment will be made on scale in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
