The College wishes to up to three visiting Al-Qasimi Professors in Islamic Studies each with a fixed term of 3 or 6 months. The terms of the visiting professorship are:

  • 1st January 2019 to 31st March 2019
  • 1st October 2019 to 31st December 2019
  • 1st January 2020 to 31st March 2020

Those applying for 1st October 2019 to 31st December 2019 are also eligible to apply to continue the post until 31st March 2020, and should state this in their application letter.

The Visiting Professor will have an established international reputation in the field of Islamic Studies, a defined programme of research for their time as a member of the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, and will contribute to the activities of the Centre for the Study of Islam within the Institute.
