Assistant Professor £40,792 - £48,677 per annum (3 posts)
Associate Professor £50,132 - £58,089 per annum (2 posts)
As part of a major recruitment drive at all levels, applications are invited from candidates from all areas of applied and pure mathematics for Assistant Professor (3 posts) and Associate Professor (2 posts) in the Department of Mathematics. Candidates will hold a PhD and normally have some years of postdoctoral experience. We particularly welcome suitably qualified female applicants, as we are keen to improve the gender balance in the department.
We seek individuals who wish to build strong research programmes and who are committed to teaching. Preference may be given to candidates with an independent research agenda who will: (i) complement existing strengths in the Department; (ii) bridge between existing areas of expertise within the Department; or (iii) strengthen mathematical connections with application areas.
Applicants who are only interested in the Associate Professor post should make this clear at the start of the Supporting Statement section on the application form; candidates wishing to also be considered for our fixed term Assistant Professor positions, should apply for a Warwick Zeeman Lectureship which are also currently advertised. Your application should include a CV and list of publications. Applicants should arrange for three referees to send letters of recommendation to mathematicsPA@warwick.ac.uk before the closing date. Please note that it is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the reference letters are received by the closing date. The post reference number should be quoted in all correspondence.
Interview Date: Provisionally January 2019 (date to be confirmed in December).
