If so, then apply for our Careers & Employability Advisor role at the London Institute of Banking and Finance. You will be joining a small and friendly team that is devoted in helping students studying on our Banking & Finance degrees.  

The London Institute of Banking & Finance is a leading provider of financial education and has been at the heart of the finance sector since 1879. We’re a specialist university college, providing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees for students aiming to pursue a career in banking and finance.

We are seeking a Careers & Employability Advisor to support the Head of Careers & Employability. The main focus of the role is to:

  • To support our undergraduate students in providing face to face careers advice to students studying on the first and second year of our full time degree programmes.
  • Delivering specific careers workshops to small audiences on CV and Cover Letters and other career management topics
  • Supporting the Head of Careers & Employability in working with employers and external agencies in identifying and sourcing  a range of opportunities for internships, placements and graduate jobs and other opportunities within the banking and wider financial services sector

To be successful in this role you’ll need to be good at providing careers advice and guidance, evidence by possession of professional qualification in this area or having 2+ years of direct recruitment experience. You’ll need to have a passion for helping students succeed and have superb communication skills as well as the confidence to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities. Finally, we are looking for someone who has an interest in Banking and Financial Services.

You also need to be confident at working across all levels in an organisation, and with different stakeholders.
