To support and assist the HR Manager (Commercial Services) in the provision of a professional generalist HR service to Directors, heads of section, managers and staff within Commercial Services to ensure the employee life cycle is managed proactively, with limited risk and in compliance with UK employment law, University policies and procedures and best practice.
With CIPD qualification or equivalent experience you will have recent experience of working in a generalist HR position in a Senior role providing specialist advice as required, managing recruitment campaigns, dealing with complex case work and involvement in project work, training, policy writing and implementation.
You will be able to provide a high level of customer service to our teams and visitors, with a varied daily pattern of work and working as part of a small HR team.
Commercial Services comprises Kent Sport, Arts & Culture (Gulbenkian and Music) and Kent Hospitality (which includes Catering, Reception Services, Housekeeping and Conferencing). Each area plays a major part in enhancing the student experience at Kent. Over a 1,000 staff (substantive and timesheet) deliver an exceptionally high level of service to students and visitors throughout the year. The areas work in partnership on various projects.
Commercial Services also generates income from conference and catering events, sporting activities and arts & cultural performances.
