The Political Science and International Relations programme is a growing programme that seeks to appoint three permanent Lecturers/Senior Lecturers in International Relations (equivalent to assistant/associate professor). All candidates with a strong background in any area of International Relations are encouraged to apply, but we are seeking especially candidates specialising in any of the following: International Political Economy, International Organizations, Human Rights, Security, and/or Environmental Politics. The starting date is negotiable.
The successful candidates should be able to teach into core courses in International Relations and to supervise postgraduate theses across a range of areas in the discipline. Please indicate on your application the area/s of specialisation you are applying for.
A PhD must be in hand prior to taking up the appointment as Lecturer.
This role will require: preparation and delivery of graduate and undergraduate courses in International Relations; an active research profile; contributing to public engagement and other teaching or administrative duties as agreed with the Head of School, School of History, Philosophy, Political Studies and International Relations.
