Applications from motivated individuals are invited to apply for the position of Technician in BCAST at Brunel University London. BCAST is a world leading Research Centre and enjoys an international reputation in liquid metal solidification research.

The successful candidate is expected to assist the Chief Technician to conduct the day-to-day operation of BCAST laboratories, to provide effective support to the general research activities in the labs and to maintain accurate records to enable the effective running of the facilities. Candidates will also be expected to clean and tidy the laboratories to ensure a safe environment as well as monitoring and ordering day to day consumables.

Candidates are expected to have all-around skills and an understanding of relevant regulations relating to Health and Safety or ability to acquire it is desirable. In addition, he/she should have excellent communication skills, be a team player and demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop within the role. As specific qualifications are not essential this is a good opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to progress in a career from an entry level.
