Continuing education is currently one of the most exciting, prominent and fastest changing fields in global higher education. The University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) is an established leader in the field, tracing its roots back to 1873. ICE is based at the historic Madingley Hall campus a beautiful venue set in expansive grounds four miles west of Cambridge.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and detail focussed individual to the role of Conference and Sales Administrator at Madingley Hall. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the planning of all events hosted in the Grade 1 listed University venue. You will ensure that all clients' needs are met and that all operational departments can fulfil their roles to deliver to all users of the building.
The role holder will be part of the Conference and Events Team within the Business Development & Student Recruitment Division, which delivers high standards of service and flexibility to all guests, students, visitors and delegates at Madingley Hall. The role holder will provide a high quality events and space planning and co-ordination role at a superb events venue.
As well as running its academic programmes, the Hall actively promotes conference space, wedding receptions, catering events, individual bed and breakfast accommodation and social events. At any one time there will be up to 180 short-term customers/students on the site, up to 84 short-term residents (one to five nights) and functions and events taking place (anything from concerts for 100, garden parties for 500, to wedding receptions and lectures).
