We require a Cyber Security Analyst to work within our Service Management team to help monitor and manage our IT systems security protocols and secure UEL from Cyber attack vulnerabilities.
The postholder, through monitoring, evaluation and in collaboration with Head of Infrastructure & Security (HoIS), will lead on IT Security activities within the University and manage the risk to the University’s IT factilities and information from internal and external threats.
You will assist in the management of the software procurement and licensing processes to maintain a valid software estate, ensuring license compliance of all our software assets.
In addition, you will be expected to proactively engage with the Information Security community to identify and mitigate relevant cyber threats, investigate incidents and work with stakeholders to raise awareness of the importance of Information Security and to ensure continued legal, contractual and regulatory compliance.
Educated to HND level in a relevant qualification, the postholder will demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of IT security issues, the current legislation and the challenges facing industry in managing the risks of cyber attacks. You will have a good understanding of the architecture of a busy and diverse IT department and the challenges faced in securing multiple systems across multiple sites.
