Job Title: Technical Tutor in Digital Design for Screen Part-Time Post: 21.75 hours per week
We are looking to appoint a Technical Tutor in Digital Design for Screen. This post will provide technical support and tuition enabling students to produce interactive digital content. You will have commercial design experience of developing websites, mobile apps, moving image and other online and interactive content.
Specialist design software and associated processes form the essential criteria of this role. You will be able to demonstrate experience and aptitude in the design of interactive content (using tools such as Dreamweaver, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision; and technology including HTML5 and CSS).
You will have the ability to deliver teaching sessions for Adobe applications including After Effects, Premiere and Photoshop.
You will oversee specialist creative resources at the Farnham campus. This role requires some maintenance of PC and Apple computers and support of a range IT peripherals.
Planning and delivering technical workshops skills in support of the academic aims of the courses as well as tutoring students on the technical components of their projects.
You will also have excellent communication skills, be a good team worker and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for dealing tactfully with students and staff. The ability to work under pressure is essential.
The pro-rata salary for this position is £15,745-£17,709 per annum.
