The Engineering team is located within a modern, award-winning, purpose-built campus by the River Wear with state-of-the-art facilities. We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and many of our undergraduate courses offer an optional industrial placement. Our staff have research expertise in a wide-range of areas and are involved in a number of world leading projects. Having secured £1.1 million for refurbishment of our laboratories and Engineering equipment upgrade and a further £2.6 million from the European Regional Development Fund with additional contributions from industry and the University, you will have opportunity to work with industry to create new jobs within the region supporting the regional strategy of growth.
In this role you will be required to provide high quality teaching in engineering to undergraduate and post graduate students. You should be active, or able to demonstrate the ability to become active in research, industrial and reach out activities, contribute to the administration of modules and programmes related to engineering disciplines, work with our international partners and have an input to new programme development.

To be considered for this role you must have an honours degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, together with research, practical or industrial experience.
