Associate Professor: Electrochemistry for Energy Storage

Dalian University of Technology – School of Chemical Engineering

School of Chemical Engineering, the predecessor of Department of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Biology, was established in 1949 when Dalian University of Technology was founded.

  1. One of the oldest and largest schools (faculties) in DUT.
  2. The major of chemical engineering is ranked third in the nation.
  3. 363 full-time faculty members with 111 professors and 118 associate professors (Chemical Engineering and Technology).
  4. Grant the Ph.D. degree, M.S. degree and B.S degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology.
  5. 2560 undergraduate students and about 1957 graduate students with 1165 in the M.S. program and 792 in the Ph.D. program.

Job Requirements:

  1. Appointment will be at the associate professor level.
  2. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in electrochemistry or a related field by the start of their employment.
  3. Experience in the field of battery/supercapacitor is required.                                                 
  4. The successful candidate is expected to advise students, and develop and teach chemical engineering courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. 

Qualifications:

  1. Obtained a Doctoral degree in electrochemistry or a related field by the start of their employment.
  2. Ideally more than 2 years of overseas research experience in battery or supercapacitor following his/her doctoral degree.
  3. Published several papers with certain impact in the important core journals, or held the knowledge of key technology, or an important patent.

Salary and Benefits
Each selected recipient will receive an associate professor position with generous start-up funds and research and office space. In addition to a competitive salary, the recipient shall receive health and other benefits specified by PRC and a housing allowance.
