The USW Faculty of Creative Industries is one of the largest providers of creative education in the UK with over 2500 students studying across a portfolio of over 30 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, all contained within a campus in the heart one of the countries most vibrant and creative cities.
Having recently achieved outstanding national student survey results across the Design subject area, the Faculty is now looking to further develop its research profile and its capacity to collaborate with external partners. The Faculty is therefore seeking to appoint a new Senior Lecturer in Design Thinking and Innovation who is able to contribute subject expertise and professional experience in order to drive innovation and creativity across our design portfolio.
Applicants should be qualified at least to Masters Level (or of equivalent professional status) and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the key debates relating to Design Thinking within contemporary culture and the rapidly changing business environment. They should have a proven track record of delivering a first-class student experience at a both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and experience of pedagogic development and innovation.
The successful applicant will also support the Director of Design in developing new collaborative partnerships with businesses within the Cardiff city region and beyond, and contribute to research activities in line with the Faculty strategic plans.
