About Anglia Ruskin University:
Anglia Ruskin is a vibrant workplace and our University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally. We have ambitious plans for the future and we are determined that our students and staff will realise their full potential. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investment. With an annual turnover of over £200m, we are a major force for higher education and one of the largest universities in the East of England.
About the role:
You’ll be joining the successful Sport and Exercise Sciences team which is home to the Cambridge Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences in the Faculty of Science and Engineering on our Cambridge campus. We're forward-looking and enthusiastic, with a vision that combines commitment to a strong and active research culture with excellence in learning and teaching. Our Sport and Exercise Sciences courses are currently ranked 11th overall in the UK by The Guardian and we're 3rd for teaching and 6th for student experience. We're seeking an experienced and motivated lecturer practitioner to continue to lead the on-going development and work on our new BSc (Hons) Sport Therapy course due to commence in Sept 2019.
You’ll have a degree or relevant professional qualification in a relevant discipline area (Sport Therapy or equivalent area i.e. Physiotherapy), extensive post qualification CPD (For grade 6: and/or higher degree), along with current accredited professional status as a Sport Therapist. You’ll need to demonstrate a track-record of practice and networking in the field along with a commitment to CPD. You'll have the opportunity to work across the emerging teaching and learning portfolio in the area of Sport Therapy. The Practitioner role is a student facing post with additional remit to develop employability skills and industry networks which will enhance the course and student experience. The role requires you to have an on-going fractional external employment position working within Sport Therapy (i.e. within a clinic, private practice or other health/sport care organisation delivering “Sport Therapy” or equivalent relevant discipline).
