The Alexandrov team develops novel computational biology tools that aim to reveal the spatial organisation of metabolic processes. The team contributes to the emerging field of spatial metabolomics by developing computational biology tools that enable imaging and functional interpretation of metabolites in tissue sections, agar plates, and cell cultures.

Your role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • maintaining large scientific instrumentation particularly an imaging mass spectrometer
  • organizing and keeping in order the inventory, stocks, training manuals, cell lines
  • training other team members on the experimental and computational methods and protocols
  • contributing to the experimental projects

You have

  • a PhD in molecular biology or related disciplines
  • experience of organizational work in academia
  • experience in mammalian cell culture, microscopy, mass spectrometry, and metabolomics
  • excellent organizational and communication skills

You might also have

  • experience in bioinformatics
