An exciting opportunity has arisen for the above mentioned posts available as full-time or part-time.

Working in the School of Healthcare Sciences which is an academic-led School which has demonstrated excellence in research, and teaching and learning, you will be part of an academic team that embraces innovation, is person-centred, aspires to be forward thinking in their approach to healthcare education and who has excellent scores from the National Student Survey.

Bangor University is currently in the top 10 of UK universities for student experience. Our courses aim to be student centred and provide experience in a range of settings and the team place a strong emphasis on partnership working with the Health Board. Our research excellence was demonstrated in REF 2014 in which our health submission was ranked 20th out of 94, with our outputs being ranked 3rd for quality.

The successful applicants will contribute to facilitating a positive learning environment in practice with practice placement responsibilities within the partnership placement providers across North Wales. The successful applicants will also be expected to contribute as required to the planning, implementation and evaluation of educational activities for nursing at both undergraduate and post graduate level.

The successful candidates would be expected to work within their own professional field of practice and across specialties.

The Applicants must:

  • be registered with NMC with experience in a relevant field or fields of practice
  • have a degree in a relevant subject area 
  • have experience of being a mentor/sign-off mentor 
  • have experience of teaching and facilitation of learning in theory and/or practice 
  • have knowledge of the Practice Educator role (or similar) and relevant NMC frameworks and standards 
  • a working knowledge of the Welsh language would be a distinct advantage 


Although the ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post, the School would especially welcome candidates who have a fluency in the Welsh language.

The successful candidates will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the posts are available until 31 October, 2020.
