An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term Lecturer in Sports Coaching and Sport Physiology to join the Sports Coaching and Development Group within the School of Health and Life Sciences at the University of the West of Scotland.
Educated to degree level (or possess the relevant professional experience) is essential. A PhD in Sports Coaching, Sport Physiology or another relevant area (or be close to completion) and a postgraduate qualification in education/learning and teaching are also essential and an Advance HE Fellowship is highly desirable.
You will contribute to the delivery of an excellent and research-based student experience, contributing to our popular BA (Hons) Sports Coaching and Development programme at our Ayr Campus. Teaching is primarily focussed on the delivery of established modules and is supported with guidance in developing teaching methods being available and you will have experience of working within with HE teaching and learning environments, managing your own teaching activity and reflecting on best practice.
The School of Health and Life Sciences is a multi-discipline School and the successful individual will be engaged in cross/interdisciplinary working and programme design and development to support positive results in attainment, student experience and graduate destinations. You will possess developed capabilities in collaborative working and be committed to high professional standards in all areas of responsibility.
