LUNEX International University of Health, Exercise and Sports is a young and ambitious private university in Luxembourg attracting students from Europe and beyond, and offering high-quality and innovative teaching and learning in higher education and research.

We are expanding our team and are looking to recruit a capable, enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist to work in an assistant or associate professor position (depending on qualifications and experience) on a full time, permanent basis in the Department of Physiotherapy.

Roles and responsibilities: The successful candidate will have an active and leadership role to our established team of international academics in the areas of teaching, curriculum development, quality enhancement, academic governance and research at LUNEX University.

Selection criteria:

The successful candidate will have a PhD and demonstrate:

  • excellent subject expertise in the field
  • excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills,
  • excellent team working and leadership skills,
  • very good English language skills (as English is the language of tuition at LUNEX University),
  • ability to engage students,
  • commitment to continued professional development,
  • evidence of engagement in research and evidence-based teaching,
  • leadership of research and evidence-informed practice within a physiotherapy clinical specialist area.

At Assistant Professor level, applicants will have experience of teaching and learning in under- and post-graduate higher education and demonstrate having contributed to the evidence-base of the physiotherapy profession, as evident from peer-reviewed publications. They will also demonstrate commitment to being involved in academic governance processes. Applicants at Associate Professor level will demonstrate successful leadership of programme / curriculum development and of teaching and learning at under-graduate and post-graduate levels, including the supervision of PhDs. They will also have a track record of contributing to the evidence-base of the physiotherapy profession, as apparent from peer-reviewed publications and research funding, and experience of active involvement in academic governance processes.

French language skills are an advantage.

Salary: 60.000-66.000 Euro per annum for assistant professor / 66.000-78.000 Euro per annum for associate professor. The salary is dependent upon the skills and qualifications of the individual.
