As a member of the Faculty Research and Innovation Office (FRIO) you will provide high quality, customer-focused research support contributing to the strategic objectives and research culture of the Faculty. The Faculty comprises of the Schools of Education, Sociology and Social Policy, Law, Politics and International Studies, plus the Centre for Interdisciplinary Gender Studies, and the Leeds Social Sciences Institute. Our research in the social sciences is internationally rated and we are committed to continuing to grow our external research income.
You will provide professional research support services to staff within ESSL. We manage the grant lifecycle administration process across pre- and post-award functions. You will focus on the provision of grant management and financial administration within the FRIO with particular responsibility for point-of-award and post-award processes.
You will have daily contact with members of the Faculty’s research and finance teams, as well as with members of academic staff requiring information and assistance. The post requires a high level of personal responsibility and considerable initiative. The work is complex, varied and demands close attention to detail.
