This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Politics and International Relations department as a part time Teaching Associate.

We are seeking a motivated and talented individual on a temporary and part time basis, who will make a significant contribution to the group’s teaching requirements.

We are extremely keen to recruit someone to teach a small number of modules in the broad area of International Relations, including “Diplomacy and Soft Power”, taught to small groups of final-year undergraduate students, as well as various other seminars. You would also supervise undergraduate dissertations and play a part in the life of our department.

This post would suit someone who has a completed doctorate, or who has submitted a doctorate for examination, who has some teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level, and who has an enthusiasm for gaining more such experience in a diverse, lively and supportive environment. More details are available on our blog at: and in the further particulars for the post.

Aston University is committed to the principles of the Athena SWAN Charter, recognised by a bronze award. We pride ourselves on our vibrant, friendly, supportive working environment and collaborative atmosphere.
