Leicester De Montfort Law School is located within the state of the art £35 million Hugh Aston Building and the Great Hall in the historic Leicester Castle. We are a leading provider of distinctive undergraduate, postgraduate and professional legal education across a broad range of legal disciplines. Over the last 12 months, we have grown our staff base by almost a third and have a thriving student population, with a genuinely internationalised outlook. The Law School’s vision is to offer education that enables any student to get access into the legal profession, embedding professional experience, scholarship and research into all of our undergraduate provision.
Please Note: Due to recent Pay Award the salary will be £38,460 - £48,677.
As part of a significant expansion in the Private Law research and teaching aspirations of the Law School, we are looking to recruit new talent and established academics to help develop and deliver curriculum in this area. No specific fields of private law are required, but an experience of postgraduate and/or postgraduate professional teaching, undergraduate law of obligations and high quality research are particularly welcome.
You will provide a dynamic and high quality contribution to teaching on the undergraduate and/or taught post-graduate / professional programmes as well as having Management and Leadership experience.
You will also contribute to the overall life of the School with particular focus on the development of quality and distinctiveness in the School’s taught programmes. In time, to engage in high quality research and publication in any area of Law.
