The School of Chemical Engineering at the University od Birmingham are looking to recruit a Teaching Focused Lecturer in Project Management to lead, develop and teach undergraduate, postgraduate or CPD students in Industrial Project Management area and within the graduate and post graduate programmes within Chemical Engineering, managed a senior member of staff with responsibility for the design, delivery and assessment of the wider programme.

  • Teaching of theory and practice in Project, Programme and Portfolio management in an Industrial Setting.
  • Lead developments to increase funding through the improvement of current course and extended offerings in Undergraduate and Postgraduate (CPD) courses. Development of new offerings e.g. Graduate Apprenticeships and pathway options in collaboration with other areas of the university.
  • Provide project management to the planning, organisation and delivery of modules. Gaining feedback and generating improvement plans.

The successful candidate will possess/be able to demonstrate:

  • Higher degree relevant to research or teaching area or equivalent qualifications
  • Competent in analysis, theory and a degree of the practical application of project management
  • Ability to lead, design and deliver module materials successfully, engagingly to a target audience.
