Working within the Department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation, you will provide expertise in areas of Exercise Psychology. This will include designing and delivering high quality teaching activities, undertaking individual and joint research to produce internationally recognized academic outputs and participating in external activity to generate income and promote the subject.

The Department has particular strengths in health and wellbeing, the role of exercise and physical activity in the management of chronic health conditions, behaviour change and physical activity promotion for children and ageing populations. Candidates with expertise in exercise psychology are welcome to apply. The post may also involve a contribution to research methods teaching and generic skills modules. The Department will consider high quality applications in any area of related research.

You must hold a first degree and be either qualified (SL) or soon to be qualified (L) to Doctoral level in a relevant discipline, have subject expertise in exercise psychology with specialist knowledge gained through research activity, professional practice or consultancy. Proven ability to deliver high quality research led teaching within an appropriate field and a publication profile (or clear potential to develop one) are desirable for this role. Membership (or eligibility for membership) of a relevant professional body is also desirable.
